Capsule Preparation for Pre-Formulated Herbal Blends

The HF Herbal Formula Compounding Service is available for customers who already have a complete herbal formula and want Holistic Farmacy to compound the blend into capsules.

The standard service covers the preparation of 100 capsules containing a pre-formulated blend of up to six ingredients at the HF standard rate.

Compounding Rates

• Base rate: HF standard rate per 100 capsules

• Included: Up to six ingredients

• Additional ingredients: $10 per 100 capsules for each ingredient above six

Pricing Examples

• 1–6 ingredients: HF standard rate

• 7 ingredients: HF standard rate plus $10 per 100 capsules

• 8 ingredients: HF standard rate plus $20 per 100 capsules

• 9 ingredients: HF standard rate plus $30 per 100 capsules

• 10 ingredients: HF standard rate plus $40 per 100 capsules

The additional-ingredient charge reflects the increased measuring, handling, blending, documentation, and quality-control requirements associated with compounding a more complex formula.

Pre-Formulated Blends

To qualify for the standard compounding service, the customer must provide a complete formula identifying:

• Every ingredient

• The common and botanical name of each botanical ingredient

• The quantity, weight, or proportion of each ingredient

• The desired number of capsules

• Any applicable extract ratio, strength, or standardization

• Any relevant preparation instructions

The formula must be sufficiently complete for Holistic Farmacy to compound it without developing, completing, balancing, or materially modifying the formulation.

When Formulation Is Required

The standard compounding rate does not include formula development or individualized formulation services.

A separate consultation arrangement will be required if Holistic Farmacy must:

• Develop a new herbal formula

• Select ingredients for the customer

• Determine ingredient quantities or proportions

• Complete an incomplete formula

• Modify or balance an existing formula

• Evaluate multiple formulation strategies

• Reformulate an existing blend

• Provide individualized botanical or formulation guidance

The consultation arrangement, formulation fee, ingredient costs, and any additional services will be discussed and approved before formulation or compounding begins.

Ingredients and Material Costs

The standard compounding rate covers the service of measuring, blending, encapsulating, and preparing the agreed-upon formula.

The availability and cost of botanical ingredients may vary according to:

• Ingredient identity and quality

• Extract strength or standardization

• Organic or other sourcing requirements

• Quantity required

• Supplier availability

• Capsule type

• Packaging requirements

Any ingredient, capsule, packaging, shipping, or material costs not included in the standard rate will be disclosed before the order is finalized.

Holistic Farmacy reserves the right to decline any ingredient or formula that cannot be responsibly sourced, accurately identified, safely handled, properly measured, or appropriately compounded.

Finished Product and Standard Labeling

The finished product will consist of the compounded capsules in the agreed-upon quantity and packaging.

The standard HF Herbal Formula Compounding Service includes an ingredients label only, identifying the ingredients contained in the compounded formula.

The standard service does not include the development, preparation, regulatory review, or application of FDA-compliant retail product labeling.

Services not included in the standard compounding rate include:

• Supplement Facts panel development

• Serving-size declarations

• Suggested-use statements

• Warning or caution statements

• Allergen declarations

• Net-quantity declarations

• Manufacturer, packer, or distributor statements

• Structure/function claims

• FDA disclaimer statements

• Lot coding

• Manufacturing or expiration date marking

• Retail package design

• Regulatory review of labels or marketing claims

• Any other labeling required for commercial distribution or retail sale

The ingredients label supplied with the standard compounding service should not be interpreted as FDA-compliant dietary-supplement labeling or as authorization to market, distribute, or resell the finished product.

White-Label Product Services

White-label product services are available upon request.

White-label services are separate from the standard HF Herbal Formula Compounding Service and are not included in the standard compounding rate.

Depending upon the agreed scope, white-label services may include:

• Supplement Facts panel preparation

• FDA-compliant dietary-supplement label development

• Product-name and private-brand presentation

• Suggested-use and warning statements

• Packaging selection

• Label printing and application

• Lot coding and applicable date marking

• Commercial production documentation

• Regulatory and labeling review coordination

• Other services required to prepare a product for commercial distribution

White-label services require a separate arrangement establishing:

• The formula and product specifications

• The services to be provided

• Ingredient and packaging requirements

• Labeling responsibilities

• Customer-supplied information

• Minimum order quantities

• Production quantities

• Pricing and payment terms

• Preparation and production timelines

• Regulatory responsibilities

• Ownership and authorized use of branding, formulas, and label content

Customers who intend to market, distribute, or resell a compounded formula under their own brand must request white-label services before placing an order.

The availability of white-label services does not constitute FDA approval of any formula, product, label, intended use, or marketing claim.

Customer Responsibility for Commercial Products

Unless Holistic Farmacy expressly accepts a specific responsibility through a separate written white-label agreement, the customer is responsible for ensuring that all formulas, labels, packaging, claims, registrations, marketing materials, and distribution practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Acceptance of a formula for compounding does not constitute regulatory approval or endorsement of:

• The formula

• The intended use

• The finished product

• The customer’s proposed labeling

• Any health or marketing claim

• Commercial distribution or resale

Customers intending to distribute or resell a finished product should obtain appropriate legal and regulatory guidance before offering it for sale.

• Whether the formula is complete and ready for compounding

• The identity and number of ingredients

• The quantity or proportion of each ingredient

• Additional-ingredient charges

• Packaging requirements

• Whether formulation or consultation services are necessary

• Whether standard or white-label services are requested

• The final price

• The estimated preparation time

3. Specify the desired number of capsules.

4. Identify any extract, standardization, capsule, packaging, or sourcing requirements.

5. Indicate whether the finished product is for personal use or intended for commercial distribution.

6. Request a separate consultation arrangement if formula development is required.

7. Request a white-label service arrangement if retail-ready labeling, packaging, or private-brand services are needed.

8. Review and approve the final price and production arrangement before purchasing.

Compounding will begin only after the formula has been accepted and the applicable arrangement has been confirmed.
