Mother's Milk
Holistic FarmacyMother’s Milk
Comprehensive Botanical Support for Healthy Lactation, Maternal Nourishment, and Postpartum Wellness
Mother’s Milk is a six-botanical formula developed to support healthy lactation, maternal nourishment, postpartum vitality, and general wellness during breastfeeding.
Breast-milk production is influenced by frequent and effective milk removal, proper latch, feeding or pumping frequency, maternal hydration, sufficient nourishment, hormonal function, sleep, stress, medication use, recovery from childbirth, and the health of both mother and infant.
Mother’s Milk combines botanicals traditionally used to support lactation and maternal wellness. It is intended to complement—not replace—frequent breastfeeding or pumping, appropriate nourishment, hydration, rest, and qualified lactation or medical support.

A Multi-System Approach
Lactation Support
Healthy milk production depends primarily upon regular and effective milk removal. Frequent breastfeeding, correct positioning and latch, adequate breast emptying, and appropriate pumping practices help establish and maintain the physiological demand for milk.
Fenugreek, Nettle, Alfalfa, Red Raspberry Leaf, and Red Clover have histories of traditional use in postpartum and lactation-support formulas.
These botanicals are intended to complement the physiological supply-and-demand process. They cannot correct an ineffective latch, insufficient feeding frequency, retained placental tissue, significant blood loss, hormonal dysfunction, medication effects, breast conditions, infant oral restrictions, or another underlying cause of low milk production.
Maternal Nourishment
Producing breast milk increases the mother’s nutritional and hydration requirements. Adequate calories, protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fluids, and regular meals help support maternal recovery and sustained lactation.
Nettle, Alfalfa, Red Raspberry Leaf, Fenugreek, and Red Clover contain naturally occurring nutritive plant compounds and have traditionally been used in restorative herbal preparations for women.
Mother’s Milk is not a prenatal or postnatal multivitamin and should not replace a balanced diet or supplements recommended by an appropriately licensed healthcare practitioner.
Postpartum Vitality and Recovery
Recovery following childbirth places significant demands upon the body. Sleep disruption, blood loss, insufficient food intake, dehydration, physical discomfort, emotional stress, and the continuous demands of infant care may affect maternal energy and well-being.
Red Raspberry Leaf, Nettle, Alfalfa, and Fenugreek have traditionally been included in postpartum formulas intended to support nourishment, vitality, digestive wellness, and general recovery.
Persistent exhaustion, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, depressed mood, anxiety, or difficulty functioning should receive appropriate professional evaluation.
Digestive and Metabolic Wellness
Fenugreek has traditionally been used to support digestion, appetite, healthy glucose metabolism, and lactation.
Nettle, Alfalfa, and Red Raspberry Leaf provide complementary botanical support for nutritional wellness and normal digestive function.
Because Fenugreek may affect blood sugar, individuals using insulin or glucose-lowering medication should obtain professional guidance before using this formula.
Immune and Antioxidant Support
Breastfeeding mothers benefit from appropriate nourishment, hydration, sleep, hygiene, and general immune support.
Echinacea has traditionally been used to support immune-system function and the body’s natural defenses. Nettle, Red Raspberry Leaf, Alfalfa, and Red Clover provide naturally occurring antioxidant and nutritive plant compounds.
Echinacea is not specifically established as a milk-producing botanical, and this formula is not intended to prevent or treat infection in the mother or infant.

More Than a Formula
At Holistic Farmacy, we believe healthy lactation requires more than taking an herbal formula.
Mother’s Milk is intended to complement practices that support milk production, maternal nourishment, recovery, and breastfeeding success, including:
-
Breastfeeding or expressing milk frequently
-
Ensuring that the infant latches and transfers milk effectively
-
Offering both breasts as appropriate
-
Avoiding unnecessarily long intervals between feedings
-
Pumping appropriately when separated from the infant
-
Drinking sufficient water according to thirst and individual needs
-
Eating regular, nutrient-dense meals
-
Consuming sufficient calories and protein
-
Including appropriate sources of essential fats, vitamins, and minerals

Continuing recommended prenatal or postnatal nutrition
-
Resting whenever reasonably possible

Reducing unnecessary physical and emotional stress
-
Avoiding tobacco, vaping, recreational drugs, and excessive alcohol
-
Reviewing medications and supplements for possible effects on lactation
-
Monitoring the infant’s feeding, swallowing, wet diapers, stooling, and weight gain
-
Obtaining help from a qualified lactation consultant when needed
-
Seeking professional evaluation for persistent pain or reduced milk production
-
Following the appropriate nourishment, hydration, rest, and wellness practices of the HF Regimen
Results are greatest when Holistic Farmacy products are used in combination with following the HF Regimen, including its complementary approach to nourishment, cleansing, tonification, hydration, movement, meditation, rest, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Breastfeeding mothers should not undertake the fasting component of the HF Three-Phase Fasting Cleanse without approval and supervision from an appropriately licensed healthcare practitioner. Significant caloric restriction, dehydration, rapid weight loss, or intensive cleansing practices may be inappropriate during lactation.
You do not have to purchase a formula to benefit from Holistic Farmacy’s health education. You are welcome to contact us with questions concerning maternal nourishment, hydration, botanical support, or responsible use of our formulas.
Our first objective is to help you make informed decisions and meaningful progress toward better health—whether or not you choose to make a purchase.
Suggested Use
Breastfeeding adults take 4 capsules with water according to the directions provided on the current product label.
Begin with the lowest recommended amount to assess maternal and infant tolerance.
Do not exceed the recommended amount.
Do not combine with another lactation-support supplement containing the same botanicals without qualified guidance.
Milk-producing herbs should not replace frequent and effective breastfeeding, pumping, lactation assessment, or evaluation of the underlying cause of reduced milk production.
Important Safety Information
For breastfeeding adults only.
Consult an appropriately licensed healthcare practitioner, pediatrician, pharmacist, or qualified lactation professional before use—especially during the early newborn period, after premature birth, or when either mother or infant has a medical condition.
Do not use if you:
-
Are pregnant or attempting to become pregnant

Another herbal lactation product
Fenugreek
Fenugreek may cause gas, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, changes in body or urine odor, allergic reactions, or reduced blood sugar.
Individuals allergic to peanuts, chickpeas, soy, or other legumes may also react to Fenugreek.
Maternal Fenugreek use has occasionally been associated with digestive discomfort or unusual odor in breastfed infants. Monitor the infant for diarrhea, excessive gas, feeding changes, rash, unusual sleepiness, or another unexpected reaction.
Echinacea
Published information concerning Echinacea use during breastfeeding remains limited. Some constituents may enter breast milk.
Echinacea may cause digestive discomfort or allergic reactions, particularly in individuals sensitive to ragweed, daisies, chrysanthemums, or related plants. It may also affect immune activity and the metabolism of certain medications.
Alfalfa
Alfalfa contains vitamin K, naturally occurring isoflavones, and L-canavanine.
It may interfere with warfarin and may be inappropriate for individuals with lupus, certain autoimmune conditions, or hormone-sensitive concerns.
Red Clover
Red Clover contains naturally occurring phytoestrogenic isoflavones. Information concerning concentrated Red Clover supplementation during breastfeeding is limited.
Individuals with hormone-sensitive conditions, abnormal bleeding, blood-clotting concerns, or anticoagulant use should obtain professional guidance before use.
Nettle
Nettle may affect blood sugar, blood pressure, fluid balance, and medication response. Allergic reactions and digestive discomfort are possible.
Red Raspberry Leaf
Red Raspberry Leaf is generally used as a women’s tonic, but concentrated use may not be appropriate for every breastfeeding mother. Use cautiously with medication or when managing a hormone-sensitive, blood-sugar, or gastrointestinal condition.
Monitoring Mother and Infant
Discontinue use and seek qualified guidance if the mother experiences:
-
Rash, facial swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing
-
Severe or persistent digestive discomfort
-
Persistent diarrhea or vomiting
-
Dizziness, fainting, or unusual weakness
-
Symptoms of low blood sugar
-
Unusual bruising or bleeding
-
Severe headache
-
Rapid or irregular heartbeat
-
A significant change in milk production
-
Breast redness, warmth, swelling, or severe pain
-
Fever or flu-like symptoms
-
Another severe, persistent, or concerning reaction
Discontinue use and contact the infant’s healthcare practitioner if the infant develops:
-
Poor feeding or refusal to feed
-
Unusual sleepiness or difficulty waking
-
Persistent vomiting
-
Diarrhea
-
Excessive irritability or inconsolable crying
-
Rash, hives, facial swelling, or difficulty breathing
-
Fewer wet diapers
-
Poor weight gain
-
Yellowing of the skin or eyes
-
Another new or concerning symptom
Seek immediate medical assistance for severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, seizure activity, severe weakness, or another medical emergency affecting either mother or infant.
When to Seek Lactation or Medical Care
Mother’s Milk is not a substitute for skilled breastfeeding assessment, pediatric evaluation, maternal medical care, prescribed treatment, or emergency assistance.
Seek qualified lactation or medical support if:
-
Milk production appears persistently insufficient
-
The infant has difficulty latching or remaining latched
-
Feedings are consistently painful
-
The infant does not appear to swallow milk
-
The breasts do not soften after feeding
-
The infant feeds for unusually long or short periods without apparent satisfaction
-
The infant has fewer wet or soiled diapers than expected
-
The infant is excessively sleepy or difficult to wake for feeding
-
The infant is not regaining birth weight or gaining appropriately
-
The mother has cracked, bleeding, or severely painful nipples
-
The mother develops a painful breast lump
-
The breast becomes red, hot, swollen, or increasingly painful
-
The mother develops fever, chills, or flu-like symptoms
-
Milk production decreases suddenly
-
The mother has significant postpartum bleeding, weakness, dizziness, or shortness of breath
-
The mother experiences persistent sadness, anxiety, panic, detachment, intrusive thoughts, or difficulty caring for herself or the infant
-
Either mother or infant has another persistent or unexplained concern
Low milk production may be associated with ineffective latch, insufficient milk removal, infant oral or neurological difficulties, premature birth, retained placental tissue, postpartum hemorrhage, endocrine dysfunction, breast surgery, medication effects, maternal illness, inadequate caloric intake, dehydration, or other factors requiring qualified evaluation.
What You Can Expect
Individual experiences vary according to feeding frequency, latch and milk transfer, pumping practices, maternal nourishment, hydration, postpartum recovery, hormonal function, medication use, stress, sleep, formula composition, and the underlying reason for reduced milk production.
During Initial Use
Some mothers may notice changes in:
-
Breast fullness
-
Milk let-down or flow
-
Pumped milk volume
-
Maternal appetite or digestion
-
Energy or general well-being
-
Body or urine odor associated with Fenugreek
An increase in breast fullness alone does not confirm that the infant is receiving sufficient milk. Infant swallowing, diaper output, satisfaction after feeding, and appropriate weight gain provide more meaningful information.
With Consistent, Appropriate Use
When combined with frequent and effective milk removal, sufficient nourishment, hydration, and appropriate lactation support, Mother’s Milk is intended to support:
-
Healthy breast-milk production
-
Maternal nutritional wellness
-
Postpartum vitality
-
Healthy digestion
-
General immune-system function
-
Continued breastfeeding success
The formula does not guarantee increased milk volume, improved milk composition, exclusive breastfeeding, infant weight gain, or a particular response within a specific period.
Long-Term Breastfeeding Wellness
Sustained lactation depends primarily upon regular milk removal, effective feeding or pumping, maternal nourishment, hydration, rest, appropriate breast care, and timely support when difficulties arise.
Mother’s Milk should not be used indefinitely to conceal persistent low milk production, painful feeding, poor infant weight gain, maternal illness, or another concern requiring qualified evaluation.
Important Information
Mother’s Milk is formulated to support healthy lactation, maternal nourishment, postpartum vitality, and general wellness during breastfeeding.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent lactation failure, mastitis, postpartum anemia, infection, hormonal disease, postpartum depression, infant feeding disorders, poor infant weight gain, or another medical condition.
Individual responses vary. Botanical support should complement—not replace—frequent breastfeeding or pumping, sufficient nourishment, hydration, skilled lactation support, pediatric care, maternal healthcare, prescribed treatment, or emergency assistance.
